Esoteric apostasy and hypocrisy at the early of Islam
How many people were there at the early of Islam who were attracted by the attractions of Islam. At that early time, honest, brave and devoted believers came and worked for Islam [but] after it gradually became common in the world, conquests increased, Iran was taken, Rome was taken, these royal palaces fell into the hands of Muslims and these objects and supplies were divided, those who lived in an ordinary cloth dress wore luxurious and expensive clothes; Those who lived with a loaf of barley bread, collected a lot of jewelry and cash; Those who slept under a mat built palaces; These [also] returned from Islam
Of course they did not say that we became infidels; No, because unfortunately a situation had arisen in which Islam combined with worldliness had made room among the Islamic society; This type of Islam had made room. Until the time of Marwani caliphs; Marwan Hakam Abdol-Malek Marwan and the sons of Abdol-Malek in their time were people who were familiar with the Quran, people of prayer, and people of the records of religion and faith, but the world attracted them. The class after the Companions is called the followers, the Companions are those who understood the Prophet of Islam and narrated the hadith from the Prophet. The Tabe'in are those who narrated a hadith from them that some of them were alive until the year 70, 80, and 90 A.H. When a person looks at the biography of these Tabe'in, of course, some of Companions also, a lot of apparently good people, their believers and their saints, during those years of the rule of the Bani Umayyads and the Bani Marwan, they suffered a moral corruption. The rule of the Marwanis ruled over the Islamic society and Madineh al-Nabi, where Islam rose and rose. What kind of corruption was there and who were corrupted! Who found a desire for corruption, wealth, tyranny, revelry, lust, and worldliness and the like, what apparently good people, this is the same
"استحبوا الحیوه الدنیا علی الاخره"
Wanting the world and seeking the world in a society where Islamic values do not rule does not lead a person to hypocrisy; Well, he is a seeker of the world and he is not a hypocrite; appears, reveals; But where there is an Islamic government, where Islamic values rule, religion rules, pure and healthy faith and belief rule, correct religious practice rules, there when someone preferred this world to the hereafter, he had carnal desires. This becomes a hypocrite; It means that the flame of religion and faith is slowly extinguished in his heart, it dims, and from that side, instead of it, materialistic motives grow: worship of authority, lust for tyrannical values, tendency to materialistic works; The attraction of faith and the sweetness of faith will be taken away from man
Reversion after the Islamic Revolution
We have seen these things in our own society. There were those who first really believed in this revolution. You know that this revolution was the true symbol of Islam. The face of Islam was this revolution, which manifested Islam in its most dangerous dimensions in people's lives. Danger is always related to things that are the criterion of faith; Where there is faith, a person accepts dangerous work and takes risks. Well, you saw how the faith of these people was embodied in such actions. First they believed, then they saw that this revolution will take away the unrestrainedness from people, it will take away the comfortable life that they were used to during the Taghut period. The law brings restrictions; All the laws and the Shari'a law that is coming here creates some kind of new restrictions for them; They could not bear it, so they left. We have seen many people, old, young, and middle-aged, who were believers at first, interested and good, then gradually they became inclined towards pleasures, lusts, egoism, selfishness, power-worship and power-seeking; They formed a gang of power, they formed a pressure group and sought power, these gradually took them away from their purity, and their faith. There is another verse in this context, which is also very interesting, and I came across it while I was reading the Quran; The eleventh verse of Surah Hajj is also famous. It say:
" و من الناس من یعبد الله علی حرف; =
There are some people who worship God on the sidelines”. They don't come in the middle of the road, one, when he accepts God's faith, he comes in the middle of the road, he comes in the middle of the field; [But] there are some people who do not take precautions and think they are wise, they walk on the side of the road.
"فان اصابه خیر اطمان";
If a good thing, a good pleasure, a monetary position or respect comes to them, they will be confident about this faith and religion.
"و ان اصابته فتنه انقلب علی وجهه"
; [But] if a fitna comes to him, (a fitna means a means of testing, a test; This test has all kinds of hardships, pressures, enemy advertisements, and so on) he would change. As long as they are responsible in the Islamic Republic, for example, everything is fine and everything is on the way; Until they left by themselves, everything becomes bad, everything becomes, on the contrary, everything becomes chaotic and disorderly; Well, you are the man who was in charge until yesterday, when they are present, everything is fine [but] where they are not, everything is a problem. If you put them at the head, everything is fine; But if you put another person in charge and bring them down, everything will be bad! [If] you give them money and this lottery and this prize falls in their name, the whole world is good, the world is bright, happiness is spread everywhere; If by chance this award does not fall to him and it falls to someone else, everything is bad, everything is bitter; They are like this. See, this is the same tendency towards the world. Then about these people God says
"خسر الدنیا و الاخره",
these people are people who have wasted this world, the path of their world and the hereafter. That is, don't think that these are outside the scope of faith and religion, then they really make a profit in their world; No, they also suffer in their world. Look at these people who were angry with the Islamic Republic, drew their swords on the Islamic Republic and fought against it, their world is a very difficult world and according to some, it is like the afterlife of Abu Jahl; In it, there is hardship, bitterness, misery, displacement, fear, and being hated by God's people, the mercenary of strangers, and shrinking and humiliation in front of enemies, and the like. This is their world. Of course, their hereafter is much worse than this world; Although this world is accompanied by humiliation and misery, it is really a paradise for them compared to the hereafter
Narrative analysis of apostasy and hypocrisy
So, you have seen that the origin and motivation of these situations that are mentioned in the Holy Quran for those who first believe and then fall into disbelief and are mentioned in this honorable verse, is because we said that there are narrations that when a person opens these Quranic teachings in this way, the meaning of those narrations becomes clear. There is a narrative that when a person who is a believer commits a sin, a black spot appears in his heart. Of course, this is also an irony; The heart that we said , that now his heart is black; it means, to compare the same feeling of thoughtfulness, emotion, motivation and the same set that is called the heart in Islamic teachings
Be like a bright mentor mirror that reflects the light, reflects all the sights; This is its natural state [but] then, when a person sins, a black spot appears in it; It takes a certain amount of this bright surface naturally; After committing another sin, another point appears. What will happen to this luminous surface that reflects both the sunlight and the light of the lamp and the scenery? Two black spots appear in it, from which purity and integrity fall. Every sin that a person commits increases by one point when you commit the first sin, the second sin becomes easier; why? Because you committed the first sin while your heart was bright and clear; Even though you had the power to absorb the facts, even though you understood, even though the Quran, advice, and words of truth were working in your ears and in your heart, at the same time, the ego prevailed and you committed a sin; [But] now that your heart is not in that purity, it has a broken point, it has an incomplete place, it has a blind spot, naturally your attraction towards faith and spirituality is not the same as before, so you make it easier to sin; So the second sin is easier than the first sin
The second point appears in the heart, and the second point that appeared in the heart becomes easier to accept guilt; why? Because this bright and smooth circle has two blind spots, it is possible to commit a sin more easily, [therefore] the third sin is committed; And in the same way, every sin darkens a part of this heart until suddenly you see a huge part of this heart darkened; At one time, everyone's heart becomes dark. This is the narration; Of course, as we said, it is a simile and an ironic interpretation. Its meaning is that the human purity of that faith with purity, that boiling motive with sin and wrongdoing gradually dies in a person, that faith becomes dim and dull; So take care of yourself
Of course, when a person repents, this point that arose from sin will be born. From every sin you repent, that spot will be cleared. The special feature is this; Almighty God created Adam in this way. When a person regrets this sin, feels that he has done a bad thing and decides not to commit this sin again and apologizes to God Almighty, this will be completely smooth; Like the first, it is as if no sin has been committed. Don't think that a person who repented has some problem in his work; No, I saw this, some people were saying, they are saying and I heard from the children that the person who repents is like he wrote this paper and now erases it with an eraser, [therefore] it does not fit the first filter; No, this analogy is not correct. "The penitent of the guilty is not guilty; The one who repents of sin is like the one who has no sin at all, has not sinned; This is what happens when a person repents of his sin. Therefore, as we read in this narration, that "sealing of hearts=طبع قلوب", I said that this "character of the heart" is present in the case of Jews, in the case of apostates, and in the case of hypocrites, and it is included in the Quran, the results of which are lack of understanding: "فهم لا یسمعون", "فهم لا یعلمون", "اولئک هم الغافلون"; [The result is not understanding Quranic and Islamic messages. We hope that Almighty God will protect us from falling into such a situation that our faith would be weakened
