SURA 107. Maun, or Neighborly Needs
Have you seen him who denies the Recompense
Then such is the [man] who repulses the orphan [with harshness]
And encourages not the feeding of the indigent
So woe to the worshippers, who are neglectful of their prayers
Those who [want but] to be seen [of men]
But refuse [to supply] [even] neighborly needs
:Points
This surah introduces the appearance of negative people, those who have a negative view of religion. They are negative towards the orphans and the poor and reject them. They are negative in worship and prayer and do not have sincerity. They are negative in serve people. "D'a" is driving with violence. What is meant by the denial of religion and resurrection in this surah is the denial of the heart, not a word, because the audience in surah, there are those who pray, but their prayer is accompanied by hypocrisy, showing off, and mistake, it is negligence"Ma'un" means tools and equipment that neighbors usually lend to each other. They give until their needs are met, like dinner ware at parties. “Din” is a connected group, his prayer is about feeding the poor and taking care of the deprived. It is not separate
In the hadiths of Sa'hun, it means the laziness of abandoning and wasting prayer. The account of attending the congregational prayer for the sake of preserving the divine rituals is different from the account of hypocrisy and showing off, because of selfish goals. We read in the hadith that the one who refrains from giving his household items to his neighbors, God will withhold His favor towards him on the Day of Judgment. Of course, we read in another hadith that they asked: We have neighbors who break or destroy whenever we lend to them, is it a sin not to lend to them? Hazrat said there is no obstacle in this case. We read in the hadith that Sa'hun means whoever disregards the prayer times and does not pray at the beginning of the time
Imam Sadeq said that Ma'un includes interest free loan and every good deed towards others and
lending of household items and zakat. Man's callousness reaches a point where, compared to the most difficult type of poverty, which is the homelessness, compared to the most essential need which is food, according to consumption, not storing, he neither takes action nor encourages others to help them
A look at the issue of hypocrisy
Hypocrisy and gaining fame are two great dangers and plagues that threaten the believers. Hypocrisy is that a person should do something to be seen by the people, and gaining fame is to do something and its purpose is to reach the ears of the people. These two things are signs of hypocrisy, as the Quran says about the hypocrites: When they stand for prayer, their prayer is with boredom and hypocrisy, just like helping others. They don't do it except when they are disgusted and displeased, and they don't spend, except when they are busy. According to the traditions, the hypocrite has a beautiful appearance and a sick inside; Outwardly, he is a humble person, but inwardly, he does not stop sinning
He is a sheep on the outside and a wolf on the inside, instead of getting the hereafter from this world, he goes to this world from the hereafter and abuses the veil of God and commits a sin. The Prophet
said: The most severe punishments are for the one in whom people Let them see good, while there is no good in him, the angels exalt the actions of some people, but it is addressed that God's purpose was not, turn it back. In Islamic culture, hypocrisy is a form of polytheism, and Imam Sadeq said about someone who does a good deed, but not for God, but for people to hear and praise him. He is a polytheist, then he recited the verse
``و لا یشرک بعبادة ربه احدا''
The sign of a hypocrite is that if he is praised, he increases his good deeds, and if he is not praised, he decreases his deeds. It goes without saying that all this is a reprimand and criticism for those who from the beginning do the work for other than God, but if man had no goal other than God and people from the beginning there is nothing wrong with being aware of his work. Imam Baqer said: There is no one but the one who loves they became aware of his work, there is no obstacle, provided that his intention is not the people from the beginning. It is against hypocrisy and hypocrisy that we read in the hadith that God does not accept anyone except the pure ones except Allah and whoever purifies himself for forty days, the fountains of wisdom flow from his heart to his tongue, and the sign of complete faith is that love and hatred, forgiveness and non-forgiveness are for God, and the best is sincere worship, and it was narrated from Fatima Zahra that she said: Everyone is pure worship, sent to God, God will reveal his best interest to them

.The practical denial of the Day of Resurrection by the believers is surprising and questionable
Rejection of an orphan separates a person from God. Caring for orphans and paying attention to the hungry and the deprived, it is a sign of faith. And everyone be careless is irreligious. There is a close relationship between belief and action. Don't underestimate minor issues such as rejecting an orphan, which sometimes indicates important issues such as denial of religion. Emotional needs precede physical needs, first is love for the orphan, then the satisfying the poor
.Every prayer has no value and every prayer is not heavenly
.If the mistake is caused by fault and negligence, it is blameworthy
Negligence in prayer can be compensated and forgiven, but omission from prayer means abandonment. It is not forgivable. The danger is that ugly work becomes a permanent human habit.( The present participle form of the verb expresses the continuation of the work)
.Sincerity is a condition for acceptance of prayer and worship
Feeding the poor is not for the wealthy, everyone has a duty, although through encouraging others to do it
The one who sometimes neglects the prayer is subject to woe, so what would be the condition of the abandoners
Indifference to the essential needs of the people is punishable
.Serving people is next to prayer
.Neglecting prayer is the basis of neglecting people
.Ignoring the hungry is a sign of disbelief in the Day of Resurrection
Forgetting about the principle and truth of prayer is important, not about the number of rak'ats, which is sometimes a side effect and may be compensated. People who are separated from God, are seeking to gain a place in the eyes of others with hypocrisy. Miserliness is the characteristic of the resurrection deniers, who even refuse to lend small things. They are stingy
