Owner of the Day of Judgment
In the statement of Surah Hamad, we came to the phrase " مالک یوم الدین " two recitations are famous here. One is "Maalek Yum al-Din" and the other is "Malek Yom al-Din" both readings are correct according to the fatwas of scholars and will not make much difference in meaning. In the old Arabic script, which is still followed today in the majority of Qurans in Islamic countries, Alef in the middle of the word is not written in some words. For example, they write "ملک" and put a "ملک" small Alef letter on the letter Mim, so that it is clear that the word is meant here, is "مالک" not
Maalek's recitation is perhaps more famous, and for .some reason we may prefer Maalek's recitation over Malek, especially "مالک" since most Qurans also write
Cases of differences in reading in the Qur'an and cases where the letters are changed are rare. In the same cases, the meaning is the same. Most of the cases are different readings in dialects. Here are two readings. One is "owner of Yom al-Din" and the other is Maalek Yom al-Din. If We said that it is from the root of Maalek, which means owner, and if we said that it is from the root of Malek, it means sultan and king, ruler. Therefore, it does not matter whether we say that God is the possessor of the Day of Religion, that is, everything is in His control on the Day of Resurrection, or whether we say that God is the King of the Day of Religion; It means that everything on the Day of Resurrection is under his power and dominion
It means the Day of Resurrection
The owner of Yom al-Din means the owner of the authority and holder of the Day of Judgment. The day of punishment is the day of judgment. It is obvious that the day here does not mean the distance between sunrise and sunset, which is the meaning of the day in the world and in the solar system. When we say a day in our world, it means between sunrise and sunset. The issue of Doomsday is not that it is an interval between sunrise and sunset
There, the earth will find another state, according to verse 48 of Surah Ibrahim, " یوم تبدل الارض غیر الارض" “The day when the earth will be transformed into something other than this earth, the sky will also find another state." The rules governing creation will take a different form. The current situation is not familiar to us in the world. So the day does not mean that. A day means an era, a period, which we also say about the world today is work and there is no bookkeeping, tomorrow there is bookkeeping and no work
The interpretation of the Day of Resurrection is the same as the interpretation of the Day of the World. How many years did your world last? sixty years, seventy years, eighty years. The Day of Judgment means the same. A moment, a piece of human life. Even the interpretation of time may not be very accurate. A piece of human life is "Yom al-Din", the day of punishment. Maybe it can be said that this day of punishment is not special for the Day of Resurrection. It is possible that a piece of heaven and a piece of hell will be considered the same day of punishment, and there belongs to God
The owner of Yom al-Din means the owner and owner of that part of your life in which you have no action and it is only an integrated punishment, the punishment for what you did in this short part of the world is God. Everything is in his possession. There is no longer this artificial ownership of a very incomplete contract that you and I enjoy in this world.
The difference between God's possessions and our possessions
We have something called ownership in the world, this is not real ownership. It is virtual ownership. Ownership is contractual. Even we do not own our own body. How do we own our own body when the transformations of this body are against our opinion? Is it against our will and beyond our power?
This body gets pain; this body is destroyed. This body is corrupted. We have no control even over this body of ours. This body melts before our longing eyes. It melts, becomes disordered. He gets sick. It gets corrupted. We have no will and power over this body. What is this property? we are weak. Human creation is weak (verse 28 of Surah Nisa)
Yes, man has been given a special power by God, against the events of life, of course, it is a limited power given by God and man must use it, and that is the power of knowledge and human will. But this same power of knowledge and will is nothing in front of the facts of this world and in front of the divine will and divine power. That power itself is under control by the divine power, it is under control by the divine will, وما تشاء ون الا ان یشاء الله رب العالمین"” (verse 29 of surah Takvir) and everything is under control by the will of God. We are now unaware of this in the world. I consider my shirt my own. I think it is mine. I defend it. In the way of defending this type of ownership, inappropriate things may be done. This is an idea, while it is a very small thing. What I imagine as my own property and authority, and the human being is busy for this weak property, that, will not be the same property in the Day of Resurrection. In the Day of Resurrection, your organs and limbs will speak. The limbs and organs of the oppressor speak against him. All events there are beyond human control
The greatness of Malik Yumuddin's verse
There are few surahs in the Qur'an that do not contain a word, a warning, or an introduction about "Yum al-Din" and the Day of Judgment. In a summary sentence in Surah Hamd, it says: You praise and thank the God whom you have. The owner and owner is the Day of Punishment. Everything is at his disposal
Of course, the psychological effects of this sentence are also significant. Because we do everything for its end, for its product and result. There is a place where everyone is useless. No one can do anything but God Almighty. Work should be done for God so that man can get results from it
