Good and bad human servants
We worship only you and ask for only your help .Servant means that being who is bound by someone or something, and servitude means being bound by someone or something. To be in possession of someone or something. Man has some servitudes, some are good and some are bad. Slavery of any good character is good, if a person is a captive of a good character, it means to move in the direction of that good character. Man's servitude to God means submission to God. This is the meaning of serving God and worshiping God. The interpretation of the relationship between God and man in many heavenly religions and in Islam is the same interpretation of servitude. Servant of God means submission to God and God is the source of all good deeds and the gathering of all good deeds. Being a servant of God means being a servant of perfection, goodness and absolute light. This servitude is a good thing. Being a slave of humans, being a captive of other humans, this is a very bad thing, because humans are imperfect, humans are limited. Being their slave is a humiliation for humans. Being a servant of cruel powers is a humiliation for man. Being a slave to carnal desires and is humiliation for humans. So slavery is not one of those things that is bad everywhere or good everywhere. No. In some places, slavery may be very bad, in other places, slavery may be very good. Being a servant of God is a very sublime concept
God's servitude and others' servitude cannot be combined
Therefore, we cannot be both God's servant and another. It doesn't make sense for a person to be a servant of two people or a servant of two beings. So the point of being a servant to God is to negate the servitude of any other being and any other power. When we prove the servitude of God, we actually deny our servitude to any other being we do
One of the two foundations of monotheism is the negation of worshiping other than God, the negation of servitude to the self in the first degree. This self, the desires and autocracies that are in us and in every human being, pull us to this side and that side, make us They lead us to pollution, they lead us to the mud, this carnal desire makes us inferior. Humans are not inferior except because of their desires. Lust for life, lust for fun, lust for pleasure, however low and small. And humanity basically doesn't fall from the top except by obedience and servitude to lust
God's servitude negates this servitude. That is, if someone is a servant of God, he should not be a servant of his own ego. He should fight against his ego. Don't give in to him, don't go under his burden. He should not be his servant. Whatever his heart desires, a person should not surrender to it. Slavery of lusts to slavery and submission to oppressive and usurping powers and non-divine powers, oppressive powers and ignorant and oppressive systems and tyranny does not absolutely equate to God's servitude
Therefore, in Islam and in most of the divine religions, which consider man as the servant of God and consider God's service as man's honor and duty, it means that every other collar of servitude must be removed from his neck. Therefore, accepting God's servitude means rejecting the servitude of any other power and any other pole. Look at how sublime and valuable this is. For those who consider the relationship between man and God to be the relationship between father and son, nothing could and would not prevent them from being slaves to every agent and pole of power
"ایاک نعبد" The exact meaning of
This verse says that we only worship you. Of course, "Iyya ka Nabodo" is different from "Nabodo ka". "Nabodo ka" means we worship you. But "Iyya ka" before “Nabodo” creates a major difference in meaning, it understands exclusivity, that is, we worship only you and we do not worship any other being but you. This issue of worshiping Almighty God is an important issue
Servant of God means servant of virtue
Basically, what we say is the servant of God means the servant of virtue. It means the servant of goodness. It means the servant of perfection. Servant of virtue means moving in the direction of virtue. Servant of perfection and goodness means to move in the direction of perfection and goodness. This is other than the servitude of humans, which is a source of shame and humiliation. Other than the servitude of the ego, lust, and velleity, which means the fall of humanity. This servitude is virtue. Man, the same man who is not ready to say that I am someone's servant or someone's valet. He says easily that I am a servant of someone's kindness. Humans easily accept the service of Ihsan. Ihsan means benevolence. For man, that servitude that brings man to honor, virtue and perfection is honorable and pride. It means the servant of perfection
The uniqueness of service in the service of God
Another argument is that this servitude is exclusive servitude. We only worship God and no other Gods. This is one of the things that is repeated frequently in the Quran. Avoiding servitude to other than God. Enslavement of different poles and powers and attractions
For example, regarding deification of the whim, "ا فرایت من اتخذ الهه هواه و اضله الله علی علم " in Surah Jathiya, a part of verse 23: "Have you seen the one who made his whim his idol and God knows him and has led him astray..." This theme is repeatedly mentioned in the Qur'an. There are those whose deity, the one whom they worship and submit to, is whim. See how man is a prisoner of his own whim and the whim of others. Unfortunately, today human is both captive to its own whim and the whim of others
concrete examples of the worship of the ego
Now, look at this Iraqi nation. Since a few months ago, bombs are being dropped on their heads because of the ego of one person. Someone craved more power. To have more oil, to have more oil income, he went to Kuwait. A nation was captured by the ego of one person. The ego is not always such that someone wants to take over a country. Sometimes, in order for a person to remain at the top of power, it is beneficial to compromise with the world's powerful; Because many powerful people are like this now, some of these kings and presidents build weak and small countries with great powers in order to remain themselves. Otherwise, their country will remain. That nation will not be lost and will not be destroyed
He wants to stay himself, he Compromises with America. Compromises with NATO. One day, he used to compromise with the Soviet Union, but now that power no longer exists. He would compromise with a strong power for what? In order to stay himself, that is, his own personal desire. His own arrogance. Don't think that for these people the benefits are something other than ordinary benefits. No. They are looking for the same things that ordinary people are looking for. Looking for the belly, sexual desires, pleasure, feeling of power. I saw those who admitted to some political concepts of libertarians and correct. From a logical point of view, it was possible that they did not have any disagreement with us, they agreed that this position is the right position, but they did not take this position. They said America will not leave. Well, America does not dominate you. Well, you do what you want. What do you do to America. That is, if it wanted to give fifty million US dollars to him loan, it will not give him until a certain project starts and achieves something. The biggest of these desires is to stay in power for a few more days. They know that if they break up with America, they will be overthrown by the factors that govern it. They are afraid of this. They become slaves of America. Then a nation endures the consequences of submission to America, for what? To saturate the ego of that person. That is, sometimes, when an ego is given chance, it affects the fate of a nation. If someone says, "iyya ka nabodo”, it means that I will no longer serve ego that causes the captivity of a nation. This was an example. Consider people as individuals, that's all. Nations that surrender to their whims and caprices surrender to such governments. In fact, they have succumbed to their whims. A nation tolerates a dictatorial system for years and does not rise up against it because the people are not in the mood and cannot get over their ego. "Iyya ka Nabodo "means I serve you and I do not serve human desires and desires that lead me to lowliness and humiliation. The dimensions of "Iyya ka Nabodo" and divine monotheism and exclusive worship of God are this. It was said about the verse "Iyya ka Nabodo and iyya ka Nasta'in" that this servitude, which we attribute directly to God Almighty in this verse and say that we only worship You or serve You, is first of all the servitude of goodness and virtue. beauty and goodness; There is an essential difference with the slavery of man against man. Servant of good requires movement towards good, that is, essential and inherent transformation in human towards the peak of good and goodness. For man, this servitude is perfection and the prelude to perfection. We also said that those who consider the relationship between man and God to be that of father and son violated this exclusive servitude and became a servant of other than God. In the common Christian culture and what has led to this culture, man is the child of God, not his servant. Apparently, it is sweet that man is a child of God and calls God his father, but the spirit of the matter is completely contrary to this. This alleged and false child became a slave to many life phenomena in thought and action; He became a servant of the powers. He became a slave to weaknesses. He became a slave to the weak, the unbeautiful, and he became a slave to his own ego. Islamic culture and Islamic education, which says to be only a servant of God, means that you should not be a servant of these phenomena. This was the first point and we said that this servitude is associated with love and worship and a feeling of closeness and affection, and if someone can create this servitude in himself, he will reach the same point for which mankind was created and the peak of human perfection. The second point is that this servitude is not related to the altar of worship, or in a better way, the altar of this servitude is all of life. In all personal and social matters, one should only be a servant of God. It is not the case that one should only face God and worship Him while reciting and praying. Rather, in choosing the system of life, in the formation of a society that mankind is inevitable, in choosing the power that will rule this society, in war and peace, in economy and politics and everything, only God should be served and he should be the title of god. Therefore, the exclusive worship of God, which we say in this verse, is actually an ongoing system of life, not just a part of human life. Rather, it includes all areas of human life. Being a servant of God in the matter of politics, in the matter of government, in the matter of struggle, in the matter of Jihad, in the management of life is a very high concept, which is what Islam means. All the Islamic rules in all these different scenes and fields go back to being a servant of God and serving God
The naturalness of worshiping God
Another point under this honorable verse is that this servitude exists in the nature and nature of human beings; According to his nature, man is attracted to a point of power, he is attracted to a center of authority and domination that considers him superior and higher than himself and submits to him. This is in the soul of man, in the nature of man and in the yeast of man, which is mentioned in some verses of the Qur'an, for example, in verse 65 of Surah Ankabut, "And when they board the ship, they call upon God sincerely." فاذا رکبوا فی الفلک دعو الله مخلصین له الدین " in the ship, where according to the external factors, man's hand is short of the means to continue life and he sees himself surrounded by problems and calamities, there man has a heart towards God. Whether he is aware of it or not. All worships in the world are the worship of God, even the idolater inwardly follows his inner inspiration that invites him to worship God. The idol worshiper is also a worshiper of God in his inner heart. What has created a problem in his work is the mistake in recognizing the example of that superior power and divine control. He does not know God and thinks that God is the same idol that he worships. So, in the human nature, there is this spirit of worship and the spirit of praise, and humans are worshipers and servants of God by nature. The role of religions is to wake up this sleeping human conscience and open his eyes, show him the example of God and tell him who is that supreme power and what is it and how is it? To the extent that the human mind and the power of human understanding are able to understand it
"not surrendering to other than God; Lesson "Iyya ka Nabodo"
Another point is that if we say "Iyya ka Nabodo" in prayer and non-prayer, as a life lesson and God's inspiration flows on our tongue and heart, in practice we should not give up in front of Allah's rivals - God's rivals. “Andad Allah” means God's rivals, those elements and entities that have occupied the place of God in our minds. What does God's place mean? That is, as we should obey and worship God, we obey them and worship them. This should be deleted. Prayer is not just for bending and straightening, every word of prayer is a lesson. Every move is a lesson. Quranic verse is a lesson for its reader and every word of it should be learned for life and applied. Therefore, we who read in the Qur'an and in prayer, "I do not worship" must face those who put themselves in the place of God, that is, the claimants of absolute power, but also the claimants of power, those who put their power in our minds, our souls, and our bodies. And they use our strength and power and take these in their service, let's not give up. The effect of the lesson "Iak Nabad", which means we only serve you, is to make a human being like the Muslim of the beginning of Islam, who would not surrender to any powerful factor that affects the human soul, human mind and human body, such as Abuzar, Ammar, Yaser. And like all the fighting and mujahid Muslims of the early days of Islam and like the faithful elements who were seen abundantly in different fronts in our time. Young people who did not understand anything except God's will and obtaining God's pleasure and had not set anything as a standard for themselves. The practical embodiment of "Iak Nabad" means this
The tyrants and partners of God
Who are God's allies and rivals or those who shield their chests in front of God and impose themselves on our souls, thoughts and minds? In order to know God's partners, should one go to the inanimate idols that appear in many different idolatries of the world? No. The dominant material powers are also such that these material powers are not specific to today so that we can imagine that today is the day when the emperors throw stones at the minds of people, the bodies and hearts of people and the practical lives of people and exert influence and power on them. Throughout history, mankind has been suffering from such an ugly, painful, and distressing phenomenon, and we must stand against it. Surrendering to God means not surrendering to these powers. In the holy verse of the Qur'an, Surah Yes, verse 74, it is written, "And take me from God, God, for God's sake." They chose gods other than God to be helped by them; These must be negated. We call these elements tyrants in our common terminology. The rebels who are really the perfect example of the tyranny of these material, political, economic and perhaps cultural powers of the world. These are rebels, rebels against divine and human values and rebels against the lives of people and their living environment
Owners of false influence
Those who have an unjust effect on the souls and hearts of people are the same as we have in the Holy Qur'an, "Take my lords and my monks as my lords besides Allah and the Messiah son of Mary", that is, the people of the book - Jews and Christians, scholars and monks. And they made Christ the son of Mary their Lord and God. In the case of Masih ibn Maryam, the problem is clear, they considered him to be God and they know him, in the case of Ahbar and monks that Ahbar belongs to the Jews, Habar means the Jewish world and the monks belong to the monks and priests of Christianity. They consider the scholars to be God. Because in the Christian worldview, the hierarchy from man to God, despite God's fatherhood, is a definite hierarchy. That is, no human being is directly connected to God, through the father and the father and the father, until he reaches that heavenly father, so the monk is also his holy father, the priest is also his holy father, the bishop is also his holy father. Cardinal is also his holy father. The Pope is also his holy father. And their heavenly father is Christ, and this has a hierarchy, that is, in this way they worship God Almighty. A direct and unmediated relationship with God is not an issue in the Christian worldview. A share of God reaches these intermediaries, which is wrong. Something similar is the case with the Jewish scriptures. But what is there in all of this is that someone unconditionally accepts a word without attributing it to God and submits to that word and that thought, this is worship. Monotheistic culture should be taken into consideration. Therefore, we have in the narration (Tohaf ol-oqool: p. 456) that whoever listens to a speaker, has worshiped him, if the speaker speaks from the language of God, then the listener has worshiped God, and if the speaker speaks from the language of the devil, that listener has worshiped the devil, which means that you cannot listen to any words and you cannot submit, this is a form of accepting God and is a form of polytheism
Human whim the most dangerous of all
More dangerous than all of these is the human whims and lust, which is said in the Qur'an, Surah Jathiyah, verse 23: "Have you seen he who has taken as his god his desire”, you when your whim commands you, May you do such a thing, say such a word, do such an action, take such a step for your pleasure, for your material privilege. For the sake of status, for the sake of prominence, in short, you do this work for the sake of an ungodly element and factor and for an unhealthy motive, you have worshiped your own ego, which does not make it "Iyya ka Nabodo" anymore. So when we say "Iyya ka Nabodo" - we only serve you - it means that all these other servitudes with the types that we said are canceled
