they say: if we return to the city, the strong will expel the humiliated.
but the might belongs to allah, and his messenger and the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
believers, do not let either your possessions or your children divert you from the remembrance of allah. those who do that shall be the losers
so spend of that with which we have provided you before death comes upon any of you and he then says: o my lord, if only you would defer me to a near term, so that i could give in charity and be among the good doers
وَلَن يُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَاء أَجَلُهَا وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
but Allah will never defer any soul when its term comes. Allah is aware of what you do
The meaning of dignity and how it is attributed to God and the believers
A point about the meaning of dignity and how dignity belongs to God and to some extent to the believers. Dignity means a state of superiority, and its emergence is a state in someone who is not overcome. A dignified person is a person who has a state in which, by having that state, dominance, strength and power belong to him; this is the meaning of dignity. That state of superiority over a human or non-human object - it is called dignity
On the contrary, it is humiliation, being defeated, being conquered; this meaning of humiliation is read in many places in the Quran
وهو العزیز الحکیم
, the Wise; in Surah jomae. We said about God that He was the Almighty, the Wise, and in many other places, it is; that is, “the Conqueror, the One who is not defeated.” This means “the Almighty.” There are several verses in the Quran that say that honor belongs to God
من کان یرید العزه فلله العزه جمیعا
“Whoever desires honor, then to Allah belongs all honor; whoever desires honor, then honor belongs entirely to God, and it is in the hands of God. Another verse says:
ایبتغون عندهم العزه
“Do those who follow false gods seek honor from them? Do they seek honor from the powers that they seek refuge in? You see, it is common in the world to seek refuge in powers and crawl under the skirts of false powers; for what? To gain honor from them; that is, that state of power of overcoming, not being defeated, that no one can reach them; this is what they want to find. It says, “Is this why you go to these false powers
فان العزه لله جمیعا
you have made a mistake. If you want no one to reach you and you not to be defeated, the place is not there, it is not under the skirts of this or that power; it is under the umbrella and power of God; go there. This is another verse; and there are verses like this whose meaning and significance is this. Well, this verse also says
ولله العزه لله
It was possible to say
ان العزه لله
When we bring
"لله"
,forward
ولله العزه
We say: “And to Allah belongs the glory.” This combination in Arabic means exclusiveness. That is, the glory belongs exclusively to God.wever, after the word "and to Allah is the glory," when he attributes glory to God, he also adds the word "and to His Messenger and to the believers." And glory belongs to the believers and to the Messenger of God. They also receive their glory from God. These are the same people who have gone under the umbrella of God's glory; they have not asked for glory from others; they have received power, victory, and victory from God .Well, one thing is, what is this divine glory, this victory that God has? How does God win? What it means is that the laws of this world are set in such a way that this world is moving towards the divine goals, whether it wants it or not. Sabotage may slow the movement of the world down a little, but it will never turn the movement of the world back this way. This fast-moving river on which this piece of wood is located is moving rapidly in one direction. You can paddle a little; you can attach yourself to a rock; you can make it very heavy with a few people so that its movement slows down a little; but the movement is in this direction. After all these things are done, you see that some of this wood, this board, and the waters that carried it moved in this direction. The direction of creation is a specific direction
Once upon a time, there was no belief in God and the knowledge that supports this belief; there was a primitive faith. The more human knowledge increased, the more intense the struggle between right and wrong in this world became, the deeper, more rooted, clearer, more logical, and more substantiated this faith and knowledge became. It is the exact opposite of the historiography that atheists do, the atheists of recent times, who write one era after another and then they say that the more they distance themselves from this era, the less their faith has diminished. These are the interpretations and analyses that are the stuff of the box office; that is, sitting in a box office or a library that is like a box office and thinking abstractly and not looking at history and facts. So, see, is the faith that the people of our country have in Islam today deeper, stronger, more passionate, more conscious and clearer, or is the faith of the people of God, for example, in the time of Moses, or in the time of Jesus, or in the time of Abraham, or even in the time of our own Prophet? God, the movement of creation is towards the expansion of divine faith, and also towards the depth of this faith, and also towards the clearer and more conscious development of this faith. Today, in the current situation, a believer, a well-informed believer with knowledge, if we say this, someone will immediately think and say, "Well, I don't have this knowledge; so what did so-and-so say? No, we are that example of e say the above so that you can compare it with the example above from the past - a high-level believer can justify his own movement in the global movement for the sovereignty of "Allah" with reasoning; understand where this movement he is making is located in this huge factory that is moving humans and the world towards the sovereignty of "Allah". Such a thing was not such awareness in those days; that day, out of the faith that they were moving towards the Holy Prophet. Of course, there is no doubt that it was very valuable; but this knowledge is a very important thing. Of course, I do not want to discuss this now and prove that today's knowledge or faith is deeper than in the past, but I am saying that this general movement of the world is the laws of creation in the direction of becoming more faithful. If humans adapt their societies to these laws, the movement of life will become easy. The movement of life will be like the movement of that ship , whose sail is towards the wind; this sail is tied in the direction of the wind and this natural law of energy that the wind creates is put at its service. On the contrary, the ignorant captain who ties the ship's sails against the direction of the wind; this great force of nature will be carried out and used in the opposite direction of his desire and inclination. Or it will be like a man who swims in the direction of the water, who will swim very easily, with little effort, successfully and well; on the contrary, the one who swims in the opposite direction of this direction; swimming very difficult and often unsuccessful glory belongs to God. Whatever God wills, happens. Of course, you should also know that the will of the Lord of the Universe, in what concerns human life, is often, but not always, carried out through the mediation of human will; this is a law. The divine will, in what does not concern human life, is carried out without the mediation of human will. This cloud, wind, fog, sun, sky, and everything that happens on earth, on planets, and in this vast universe that we do not know even a tenth of a tenth of, happens without the will of you and me; it happens according to the laws that God has established; “When He wills a thing, He says to it, ‘Be and so it is; everything is being done by the will of God moment by moment. This will is also the will of the moment by moment. It is not like they have wound up a clock and left it there and it is working by itself while the owner of the clock is asleep. Not every moment, the divine will and divine knowledge are the source of the movement of the world. But in the case of man, this divine will is realized by the human will being both an intermediary and one of the causes (That is) if we want, it will happen; if you and I don't want, it won't happen. If the people didn't want it, there wouldn't be a revolution; if the people didn't want it, the war wouldn't be won. You see, these are human desires. And the Quran, Nahjul Balagha, and hadiths are full of expressions of this knowledge that if humans don't want it and human desires are not fulfilled, the divine will for the victory of the believers, for the victory of truth over falsehood, and for the progress of the world towards faith will not be fulfilled. This is another matter. Of course, these are detailed discussions that we have discussed in detail in the past where humans engage in intellectual discussions. Now, we want to briefly mention them. So, the glory belongs to God. If you look at it from this perspective, you will see that the infidels, the hypocrites, whose names are mentioned here in this Surah and their plot is discussed - the opponents and the opponents, are weak in the face of the will of God Almighty, which has laid the foundation for the progress of faith and believers; the devils have a weak plot in the face of the will of the Most Gracious: "Indeed, the plot of Satan is weak"; because the glory belongs to God and they are humiliated, lowly, and lowly in the face of it. [The incident of Abdullah ibn Ubay is a reality but at the same time a symbolic event; he thinks that he will expel the Prophet with all his companions from Medina; [this] is a plan. It is; Medina was theirs too, their ancestors may have lived there for centuries. But he cannot; it cannot be done and he does not know. The hypocrite does not know that honor belongs to God; and the hypocrite often does not know. Here not only humiliation but also ignorance is attributed to the hypocrites
The hypocrites in this verse are both humiliation and ignorance
“ولکن المنافقین لا یعلمون
they do not know; and you see that it is really like this. The hypocrites have always made mistakes; they are constantly making mistakes now; they were waiting in Medina that day, today in France and other places. Now I have nothing to do with that particular group of hypocrites; they are both hypocrites and others are hypocrites. All those who talk about the freedom and welfare of the Iranian nation and the victory of the Iranian nation and lie and do not feel sorry for the Iranian nation and only strive for their own four-day lowly animal life, these are hypocrites; and that group of hypocrites, which is considered one of the main branches of this general hypocrisy. You see them, they are already suffering from humiliation and ignorance. Humiliation does not get any higher than this. What does the humiliation attributed to the hostile Jews in the Holy Quran mean: "Debasement and habitation have been inflicted on them"? This is because they were dependent throughout their history; they never gained independence; because of the well-known state of dependence they have had throughout history; and now that they have usurped two inches of land from this and that, stolen, and built housing for themselves, it is still dependent on America; if it were not for this, if America were to become Nazi, the Zionist molds would collapse. The humiliation of the hypocrites is also similar; the hypocrites themselves are not the ones who speak, who take action, who seek to fight; rather, they go under the filthy skirt of their opponents and infidels and think that it will protect them from harm and give them dignity; which we see and know and we are sure about the future that there will be absolutely no dignity under the filthy skirt of foreigners for them. In any case, it is both humiliation and ignorance. Well, this is a matter of knowing the meaning of honor for God. This honor It is transferred to the Messenger of God and to the believers; why? Because the Messenger of God and the believers are the same shipkeepers and captains who set the sails of their ships according to the divine laws and use these laws. The honor of God belongs to them. They worship God, listen to the word of God, do what God says, and Believers struggle with the enemies of God. this causes them to gain honor. If they did not act on these laws, they would not have honor either. Well, this is a matter about honor and humiliation
Another thing is that a believer, since he has been favored by God and has been honored by God, has no right to humiliate himself. Not humiliating himself has a wide scope; all kinds of ideas can be imagined about humiliating himself. One type of humiliating a believer is to humiliate himself in the eyes; by expressing need, by flattery, by unnecessary praise, by enduring the lowliness and insults that are done to him, by doing things that degrade a person: drunkenness, debauchery, corruption, and prostitution; these degrade a person, they humiliate a person. A believer should not humiliate himself. In a narration, Imam Sadiq (peace and blessings be upon him) said: God Almighty “has imposed upon the believer all his affairs, and has placed all the affairs of the believer in his own hands; He has entrusted the will and authority of the believer’s life to him; and this is how it is, as you can see. And He has not delegated to him to be humiliated; But He did not allow him or give him the authority to be humiliated; a believer has no right to humiliate himself; the humiliation of a believer is contrary to the nature that the Lord of the worlds has ordained; [because] He has given him dignity. It starts from here and in a wider circle of meanings, the highest level of this humiliation of the believer is spread and it is understood there as well, that is, the believer should not accept humiliation in any quality... You see, Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) said that we do not accept humiliation
هیهات من الذله
." God forbids that we accept humiliation; this humiliation is accepted by the believer by the infidels and the imposition of the infidels, the humiliation of self for the believer is the humiliation of submission in front of the infidels, the humiliation of accepting pressure, and this is something that is not permissible for him. This is another matter. Well, we also passed after this verse: “And to Allah belongs the glory, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.” These were the signs of hypocrisy in this Surah that were completed
Taking care not to neglect wealth and children from the remembrance of God
There are three other verses here; the first verse is about “dhikr Allah” - remembrance of Allah which says: O you who have believed, let not your wealth or your children distract you from the remembrance of Allah
لا تلهکم اموالکم و لا اولادکم عن ذکر الله
Because wealth and children distract a person from the remembrance of Allah. What does it mean to distract? And how does this neglect occur? Does the neglect of a person for the sake of children and wealth mean that a person pays attention to his child for a moment and neglects the remembrance of Allah? No, ordinary believers like us are not expected to remember Allah all the time, day and night, unless we pay attention to our child for a moment or feel love for him
that it is no longer specific to property and children; lessons may also make a person heedless of God in this way; ordinary daily work may also make a person heedless of God; this is not the point. A person has a duty that sometimes children and wealth prevent a person from that duty; a duty regarding his own property. The love of a child does not allow a person to fulfill the duty that he has towards him. The love of wealth does not allow a person to fulfill the duty that a person has towards this property. This property with its attraction, this child with the attraction of love that it creates in the heart of a person, makes a person heedless of the remembrance of God and of the duty that God has given to a person; and the remembrance of God is something that if it leaves a person's heart, a person becomes miserable. The first deviation of believers is when they become heedless of the remembrance of God; And I think the reason why this verse comes after the verses on hypocrisy is that at the beginning of the discussion of hypocrisy in this Surah, I think I have said this - that is, I have mentioned this many times that the reason why believers fall into hypocrisy and gradually the candle of faith in their hearts becomes less and less bright and less bright until it goes out is because they neglect the remembrance of God. Neglecting the remembrance of God leads a person to deviate and commit sins; this sin gradually prevents a person from the path he was on and the attention he had for God and creates negligence in a person; once negligence is created, faith no longer exists. Most of those who fell into hypocrisy after believing suffered the same pain. Their wealth, their children created an attraction in them that they could not continue on that path of believers because faith moves, faith does not stand still; one cannot become a believer and remain in one place like a stone. Faith is accompanied by a movement; if we become a believer, we must move. Sometimes wealth and children become obstacles and prevent a person from this movement; they don't leave and this is how man gradually moves towards disbelief. Then disbelief, which has the appearance of faith, becomes hypocrisy; on the surface, man is among the believers, with a head among heads, a tongue among tongues, and a body among bodies, but his heart is not there, his mind and brain are not among them, he is separate from them, he is alien. Perhaps the reason is that the remembrance of God, which prevents hypocrisy and ensures that man remains among the believers and the majority of believers in God, is taken away from man. If this remembrance is taken away from man, hypocrisy will take its place. Perhaps this is why the issue of remembrance has been raised after the issue of hypocrisy. “Do not let your wealth or your children distract you from the remembrance of God; and whoever does that”; Whoever does this, that is, becomes heedless, then those are the losers; those who fall into this trap will suffer loss; why? Because this wealth will not remain for him; this child will not remain for him; it will also be kept from the path of God. This is how it is; wealth and children that do not remain for man, this transaction and business is not only for this market; we are thinking of profit and business for another market and we are moving. These few mornings, this little money will keep man from the path of God, very well, this little money will catch it and let's assume that this money will remain for him, but the keeping of this money is a loss; because the main capital that man could trade with, which was his soul, his heart, his thoughts and his faith, will be destroyed by this destruction and annihilation; He has lost faith, so he has lost his hand. With every passing hour, his soul, his spirit, and his life are being turned to the other side. From a human being to an animal, that animal is also an animal. Unlucky because animals do not have any misfortune in the next stage of life, but this person who has been neglected is also suffering from divine punishment in the next stage of this life, is suffering from difficulties, is suffering from pressures and severity; this is the perfection of damage and loss. If we lose the remembrance of God who can be our guardian on this path, we have done the greatest damage. Our body, our soul, our life is coming to an end, that which has been stopping us will also be taken from us; that child will be taken from us. Now, often those children for whose sake some people stay on the path of God, are not theirs at that very moment, the very moment they think they are serving Him, they are serving others. Some are captives of their children. We must definitely resist all these attractions. I have read this sermon many times in which the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) says that during the time of the Prophet, we killed our fathers, sons, uncles, and brothers who came to our swords for the sake of God: “And indeed, we were with the Messenger of God, killing our fathers, sons, brothers, and uncles; meaning, we did not look at the fact that now this person who is fighting God, fighting the armies of God, is our son; we are against him, he is against us; like we were killing him, the stranger. So, do not let this wealth occupy you
و انفقوا مما رزقناکم
and spend from this wealth that We have given you. Of course, this
مما
can be understood as both wealth and non-wealth; from wealth and children. Spending on children is also a form of spending
It is also the greatest charity; of course, if the definition of charity is correct about it. Give this wealth before death comes to you. Then the one to whom death has come will say: “My Lord!” Why don’t You give me respite and postpone my death for a short time? Why now? Why do you want this short time, O dying person? So that I may give charity and be among the righteous. Before such a situation happens to you, give charity, spend your wealth in the way of God. This wealth that God has given you is a trust in your possession; use it and reject it. This wealth was not given to you to be yours so that it does not transgress from you to others. Rather, this wealth that you have found with hard work, this is yours and others'; it is God's property that is in your possession. Of course, when we say yours and others', we do not mean the legal ownership; Its legal ownership is yours, but you also include others in its property. Share yourselves; in fact, share God in your wealth, and spend this wealth where God has said it should be spent. Give alms. If you don't, this is what happens: a person who has money now I'm not talking about you; you who don't have money - when the time comes for death, this is what happens to him: he looks and sees, yes! His money remains and [he] is about to leave, saying, "I wish you had given me a few more moments, a few more days, I would have spent all this in the way of God." He wants to make this spilled oil, as the saying goes, a vow to the Imamzadeh; He who is about to leave says, "I wish I had given this in charity.". And Allah will not delay a soul when its term comes; Allah will not delay anything
Someone when his time comes. This request of the person who says, "O Allah, postpone my death for half a day, a day, two days, a year so that I can give charity" is absolutely not accepted; this request will not be accepted from anyone. "And Allah knows what you do"; Even if this person stays, he will not have that power to spend. When a person does not have enough control over himself to let go of his wealth, if he gets better and gets out of bed and now he is ready to give charity, he is ready to give this house, for example, this garden, this property and the like in the way of God. When he takes a look, he sees that he needs these things now; this garden is needed for its fruit, this house is needed for the children, after all, I think there is nothing left for charity." The person who can let go of need
He can spend what God has given him as a trust in the way of God. He does not need to make such a decision with himself when he is dying. Therefore, “And Allah is Aware of what you do and do,” meaning the charity of you and the donations you have made in the past, as well as your determination and intentions. A number of brothers who are heading to the front have come here on their way and are in our meeting, which is a positive point in itself; we hope that God Almighty will make us both from the people of the Quran and from the people of Jihad in the way of Allah
