Polytheists, were not going to depart [from their ways] until there should come

to them Clear Evidence,-

2. An messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy:

3. Wherein are laws [or decrees] right and straight.

4. Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them

Clear Evidence.

5. And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering

Him sincere devotion, being true [in faith]; to establish regular prayer; and to

practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight.

6. Those who reject [Truth], among the People of the Book and among the

Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein [for aye]. They are the

worst of creatures.

7. Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures.

8. Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow;

they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with

Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher.

Points

Bayyenah means a clear proof by which truth is revealed from falsehood

“Qayyemah” means direct, firm, valuable and precious. “Qayyem” refers to someone who is compassionate and stands up for the interests of others. The letter ta in the word “Qayyemat” is for exaggeration, like “allamat”, not feminization ta

This verse has been interpreted in two ways: according to one interpretation, it speaks of the disloyalty and dishonesty of the People of the Book and the polytheists, and in the other interpretation, it speaks of the end of the argument for them

The claim of the disbelievers was that until clear proof reaches us, we will remain on our path, but after clear proof reached them, they still remained on their path and none but a few believed. Similar to this theme, in verse 89 of Surah Al-Baqarah, it is stated that before the advent of Islam, they were waiting for the coming of a new prophet and were giving him good news, but “when it came to them, they disbelieved.” As soon as it came to them, they did not accept what they knew

Sohof” is the plural of “sahifa.” It is as if each part of the divine book is a separate page. The Torah is a book, but the Quran says about it: “The pages of Abraham and Moses

Messages

1 - Do not expect people to abandon their beliefs and ways without clear evidence

2 - In the completion of the proof, the disbelievers and the polytheists are not separated from each other. God completes the proof for all people, whether disbelievers or polytheists, by sending them clear proof. "And the clear proof came to them"

تَأْتِيَهُمُ اَلْبَيِّنَةُ

3 - More is expected from the People of the Book. (Although the first verse spoke of the People of the Book and the polytheists, in the following verses the criticism is only directed at the People of the Book.) "And those who were given the Book did not separate

4 - God's completion of the proof is through a heavenly messenger and a pure book

 رَسُولٌ‌ يَتْلُوا صُحُفاً مُطَهَّرَةً

5 - The Quran is free from any error, deviation, nullification, falsehood, and distortion. "A purified page

6 - In the Quran, there are commands that provide stability

In it are valuable books"فیها کتب قیمه=

7 - The Quran itself is a moderate book, free from distortion, and is also the cause of moderation and stability in society "valuable

8 - Despite the desires of the soul, knowledge and understanding are not the solution to problems. The People of the Book understood the truth clearly, but they became divided because of their desires. And those who were given the Book were not divided... [Surah Al-Bayyenah (98): Verse 5] And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, being sincere to Him in religion, and to establish prayer and give zakat. That is the stable religion

 Points

“Hunafaa” is the plural of “Hanif” meaning inclined towards the truth, as opposed to the word “Janif” which means inclined towards falsehood

. If we put the verse “That is the religion of the resurrection” next to the verse “So direct your face towards the religion that is straight, a nature of Allah”, we can use it to show that pure and unadulterated worship, relationship with Allah

(prayer) and helping others (zakat) are natural affairs for every human being

Messages

1 - The tastes and desires of others are changeable. The permanent and steadfast religion is sincere devotion to the steadfast God. Those who are sincere to Him are those who are sincere to Him ... That is the religion of the Day of Judgment

- Faith is not solid without prayer and zakat. “Establish prayer and give zakat, and that is the religion of the Day of Judgment

3 - Paying attention to the history of stubbornness and division is a source of consolation for the Prophet and his followers. And those who were given the Book did not differ except after the clear proof had come to them

4 - The monotheism and sincere worship of God is the factor of unity. And those who were given the Book did not differ except to worship God

And they were commanded only to worship God.= وَ ما أُمِرُوا إِلاّ لِيَعْبُدُوا اَللّهَ‌

5 - The prophets invited people to God, not themselves. “And they were commanded only to worship God

 وَ ما أُمِرُوا إِلاّ لِيَعْبُدُوا اَللّهَ‌»

6 - Being pure and undefiled is the symbol of survival. Sincerely... That is the religion of the Day of Judgment

7 - The commandment of monotheism, prayer, and zakat has been in all heavenly religions. And we were commanded to worship Allah

[Surat al-Bayyenah (98): verses 6 to 7]

Indeed, those who disbelieve from among the people of the book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell forever. Those who believe and do good deeds, those are the good of the righteous (7)

Verily, those of the People of the Book and polytheists who disbelieved will be in the Fire They are in Hell, they will abide therein forever. They are the worst of creatures. Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds are the best of creatures

Notes

The word "baryyah" is either derived from "baryyah" meaning soil and refers to all soil, including humans, or from "bara" meaning creation, and "baryyah" is in the passive voice meaning the object, i.e., creatures

It is narrated in Shia and Sunni narrations that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Ali ibn Abi Talib: "You and your companions are the best of the baryyah

Similar to this verse, it is stated elsewhere in the Quran: “Indeed, the worst of animals in the sight of Allah are the deaf, those who do not understand.” The proof that a person is the worst is that the Messenger and the Book have come to him and he understands the truth, but he stubbornly refuses due to pride and arrogance. They disbelieved among the People of the Book. .. They are the worst of the wild animals. Their messages: 1 - Whoever does not accept Islam, whether he is a polytheist or a People of the Book, is a disbeliever. "Indeed, those who disbelieve are from the People of the Book and the polytheists

2- The destiny of the people of the book and polytheists is the same

"The people of the book and the polytheists are in the fire of hell"

أَهْلِ اَلْكِتابِ وَ اَلْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نارِ جَهَنَّمَ‌

3- The flagship of existence, i.e., human being, becomes the worst creature because of ignoring logic and vision

4- Man determines his position by his choice, either the evil of al-Baryyah and hell, or the good of al-Bariyyah and heaven

Kafaroo sharrol-Baryyah کافروا...شرُّ البريَّةِِ

. Aamenoo   Khairul-Baryyahامنوا...خیر البریه

5- Comparison between disbelief and faith and the end of their work is the best kind of enlightenment

 Khairu al-Baryyah

The growth or fall of other creatures is limited, but the growth and fall of man is infinite

خیر البریه :(Man can be superior even to the angels through faith and righteous deeds)

7 - Becoming the best is dependent on faith, and the worst are the disbelievers

8- Faith is fruitful under the condition that it is accompanied by righteous action

"Aamenoo wa ameloo al-salihat."

(But disbelief alone is the cause of Hell)

[Surah Al-Bayyenah (98): Verse 8]

Their reward is with their Lord in the Gardens of Eden, beneath which the rivers are eternal, may God be pleased with them

The reward of those with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow. They will abide therein forever, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. This is the station reserved for the one who fears his Lord

Notes

خَشِيتُ‌”=khashiyat refers to that fear that is based on reverence and greatness

This verse says: Paradise is reserved for the people who fear Allah. “That is for him who fears his Lord” and another verse says: Only scholars are people of fear: “Indeed, it is the scholars who fear Allah from among His servants.” So Paradise is exclusively for scholars

On the other hand, we know that not all scholars and scientists are people of Paradise. Because the Quran considers many of the people of Hell to be those who went astray after gaining knowledge and awareness: “Allah has led astray without knowledge.” Similarly, not all illiterate people are in Hell

So the knowledge that causes fear is not a term of common knowledge, but rather it refers to a natural and divine understanding that causes enlightenment of the heart

Messages

1 - The Paradise of the body is a garden and a river, and the Paradise of the soul is the pleasure of Allah. Paradise of Eden

May God be pleased with them

2 - God's fear is the source of following God's orders. Aamenoo and Ameloo

3- The eternity of heaven is certain for believers. (The words "Eden", "Khaledin" and "Everlasting" all indicate the certainty
